Book Club Guide: Divine Rivals
Discussion Questions and Themed Decor to Bring this Story to Life
Always Booked was born out of our passion for book club. Spending a few hours with friends chatting (and sometimes arguing) about your latest read over snacks and wine…What’s better than that?
We’re always saying that book club night is the best night of the entire month and one of the reasons for that is that we try to make it as immersive of an experience as possible. We’re talking book-themed drinks, food, table settings, and room decor. It’s actually amazing how a little extra effort turns the evening into something special. It’s also important to note is that we have FUN putting in that extra effort, there should be no stress in book club.
Always Booked is about bringing book lovers together and building community; and this means helping you build your own jaw-dropping book club experiences. We’re excited to share what we did to make our Divine Rivals book club night a total hit. And hey, If hosting is not your thing and/or you have way more chill than the four of us, we love that. Feel free to just steal our Divine Rivals discussion questions below.

Divine Rivals Book Club Decoration
The Inkridden Tribune: Olivia mocked up an actual newspaper for our book club and because she’s such a gracious human, we’re giving it to all of you for free. Click here to download it on Canva.
Typewriter: If you’ve read the Letters of Enchantment duology, you know that Iris and Roman send letters to each other that are written on their magical typewriters. We got ours at an antique shop, but the one in our storefront is very similar and actually looks functional. We actually use ours a lot for decor as it fits other genres like dark academia perfectly.
Food & Drink: Emily made finger sandwiches, which was a nod to both Iris and Roman eating sandwiches on their lunch break, and a traditional tea time. We brought tea bags and a kettle to celebrate as well because if there’s one thing Iris loves more than Roman, it’s tea. And what’s tea without a variety of yummy pastries?
Ambiance: We want book club to feel intimate and cozy, so we always set the table with candles and plates that fit the story.
Our storefront has everything you need to host a magical Divine Rivals Book Club.
